Description: Costa Line: A sixteen-page brochure for ANNA C. and ANDREA C. featuring color interior photos and deck plans. This pair was Costa's first two real passenger ships and among the first with interior decor by an up-and-coming Italian designer named Nino Zoncada (1898-1988). You can see his bold and stylish work throughout this brochure. ANDREA C. Cabin Class photos show the Gran Lounge, Lido Deck, Bar, Chapel, Dining Room, Card Room, and a two-berth cabin. Third Class images include the Grand Salon, Dining Room, Bar, and a cabin. Color-coded plans show four decks. ANNA C. Cabin Class photos show the Ball Room, Outdoor Swimming Pool, Dining Room, sitting room of a suite, and two plush cabins. Third Class images include the Dining Room, Outdoor Swimming Pool, Gran Salon, and a cabin. Color-coded plans show six decks. Both ships were adapted from older vessels by Costa. ANNA C. first sailed in 1929 as Furness Prince Lines' SOUTHERN PRINCE. A fire ended her days in 1971. The ANDREA C was a former WW2 British supply ship that was sunk during the invasion of Sicily. Raised and redone, she sailed until the early 1980s. Very good condition.
