London, England: The Mayor of New Orleans, Colonel deLesseps S. ("Chep") Morrison, spent three days in London while on an International House Travel and Trade Mission to eastern and western Europe last week. The Mayor was photographed near the gates of Buckingham Palace, London residence of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth. He was accompanied on a sightseeing tour of the city by Mrs. Terry Flettrich, who runs a daily TV programme called "Mid-Day" for a leading New Orleans TV station. They were enchanted with the beauties of the historic city, and saw Big Ben, the famous clock of the Houses of Parliament and other well known landmarks including Horseguards Parade, scene of the magnificent Trooping the Colour ceremony, Trafalgar Square, and several of London's beautiful parks. The Mayor and his party, which included ninety prominent businessmen and civic leaders in New Orleans, made London their last port of call before returning by air to New Orleans on Sunday.
