Description: COLLECTORS VINTAGE BAT SPALDING KEN BOYER CARDINALS METS 48-119 27” 19oz 1960s Included: (One) SPALDING 48-119 bat Manufacture: Spaulding Model: 48-119 Size: 27 inch Weight: 19 oz. Made in: USA Wood: Probably Maple, but could be Hickory Finish: Black Year Made: 1963-1969 (not sure of exact year, but this range is accurate) See detail photos. Condition: This is a very old bat (apx 45 Years old) and the letters that show the model number and other information have worn down, but can be read if you look close, which kind of includes Ken Boyer, but you can only see the letters BOYE, but more clearly you can see YE - since this bat was once made with the Ken Boyer's Name, I can only conclude that the faint letters that do exist once had the words clearly written as Ken Boyer. In any case, the bat is very cool looking and a great addition to any collection. Kenton Lloyd "Kent" Boyer (May 20, 1931 – September 7, 1982) was an American Major League Baseball (MLB) third baseman, coach and manager who played on the St. Louis Cardinals, New York Mets, Chicago White Sox, and Los Angeles Dodgers for 15 seasons, 1955 through 1969.
