This listing is for Cleveland Indians outfielder and two-time American League Most Valuable Player, Roger Maris. Major League Baseball’s eventual single season record holder with 61 home runs during the 1961 season, Maris had been the American League’s record holder for sixty years – longer than Babe Ruth’s reign with his 60 home runs.
