TYPE CLASSIFICATION: Type 3 COMMENTS / CONDITION: See scans for further details including condition. Edward Francis Bressoud was born in 1932 in Los Angeles, CA. He played major league baseball from 1956 to 1967 as infielder for the New York Giants, San Francisco Giants, Boston Red Sox, New York Mets and the St. Louis Cardinals, appeared in the 1967 World Series, and was selected in 1964 as an All-Star. Bressoud, who went on to graduate from UCLA, managed the 1969 San Jose Bees in the California League in the California Angels organization before becoming a physical education teacher and the baseball coach at De Anza College in Cupertino, CA. Explanation of Type Classifications: Type 1 = A 1st generation photograph, developed from the original negative, during the period (within two years of when the shot was taken). Type 2 = A 1st generation photograph, developed from the original negative, during a later period (more than two years after the shot was taken).
