Description: About This Item: Up for sale is a 1958 National Geographic Society Atlas Folio. Large format measures 19 1/2 inches by 14 inches and most maps span across 2 pages. Hard cover booklet is in very good condition, with some light wear mainly at the corners and a couple light stains on the back, difficult to see unless looking for them, and 2 small round darker marks along the bottom edge of the back (see photos). Pages in very good to excellent condition. No tears, dog-ears, creases that we found. There are a couple small stains & smudges, more noticeable on the blank pages, and blue marker has been used to mark a couple routes on map #s 38, 39 and 45 (see last 3 photos) There is writing on the page of contents where National Geographic intended the owner to note updates as they were received. From this list of contents (photo 6), there are 11 page numbers with a blank line next to them. These represent maps never added to this atlas. Of those page numbers with a map title listed, numbers 3,13, 44, 46, 50, 62 & 63 are not in this atlas. Map #28 is attached to page # 29, where page 29 was expected to be blank. There is one additional map in the atlas but not listed in the contents - #52 “Holy Land Today”. Please see photos, ask any questions you may have and request any additional photos needed.
