Description: 1956 Philadelphia Wheat Small Cent AU Coin Mint Error/Hub Doubling/Die Crack Too - The rim showed signs of a misalignment issue but behind the head looks more like an alignment issue...yet the two are connected by the crack/extra metal - I've never seen anything like it on silver coins either. I am not a copper coin expert. Does anyone know whether extra metal being on a copper coin is more normal when it comes to errors because isn't this technically a CUD or is it some sort of combined damage from the lamination process or a planchet defect? This is a weird one and has been sitting in a closet untouched since the early 1980's!
