Description: About This ListingYou are looking at the real deal - vintage 1955 Gretsch Country Club #6196 in classic Cadillac Green, made in Brooklyn, NY. The original DeArmond pickups sound incredible- clear, rich, with a balanced tone. All controls work and are noise-free. We just completed a neck reset on this, so the action is great, with plenty of room on the bridge to easily adjust to taste. Frets have no pitting and plenty of life left in them. The binding is all original and has no flaking or chips. The Melita bridge is new, but has been aged to match the original hardware. Some pitting and corrosion on pickup metal surrounds. Pickup height mounts are non-original. No breaks or cracks, and cosmetically in very good condition. Two dings on the face (see photos), and some assorted marks and dings on headstock, sides, and back; but nothing one would expect for a guitar that is 67 years old (!). Some finish touch-up from the neck reset is visible where neck joins the body (see photos). Original hardshell case is included. This is "No Issues" guitar that is a rare find!
