Description: Title: The Girl Next Door. Author(s): Dorothy Baruch and Elizabeth Montgomery. Publisher: Scott, Foresman and Company.Illustrator: Ruth SteedYear Published: 1954. Book measures: 8 1/8" tall x 6 1/8" wide x 7/8" thick. Book has 256 pages. CONDITION: Book has various signs of wear as follows: There is light tanning to pages. Cover has some rub-wear, some edge-wear and dog-earring to corners. Book was once a text book with the usual customary markings inside, (the checkout part at inside of front cover).Book has a few scribbles in pencil. But, no highlight markers. A few pages have folded over corners. Spine and pages are tight. Its worse flaw to me is on page 82/83 where someone pressed a flower in the book. Apparently it still had some moisture and left some brown spots. These actually show on pages 79-85. Still readable. Just present. I removed the flower. From smoke free environment. Please note: old books may have a packed back smell. About this book: This is a 1950's Reader/Primar for probably 2nd to 4th grade. Its characters are Nancy, Ellen, and Tom. (We've moved up a grade or two here from Dick and Jane.) My Inv. Loc. I N 4E - Item # 3556
