Card pictured is exact card you will receive. This is a really good example of a tough, over 70-year-old card. There are no defects inconsistent with the grade not clearly visible in the photos. The coloring and registration are outstanding, giving this great eye appeal. The centering and a little wear to the bottom right corner, drive the grade. Bottom border great for this card; looks more worn in photograph than in person, in my opinion. Interesting facts: More often going by Herm, Wehmeier struggled with control much of his career, leading the league in walks three of four seasons between 1949 and 1952. Each of those years featured ERAs at or above 4.68, too. 1954 was the beginning of some improvement. His ERA dropped to 4.40, and he went 10-8 for the Philadelphia Phillies, who purchased his contract in June. Although he finished his career with a 92-108 record, he was 43-39 after joining the Phillies until his retirement. Check out my other listings for more interesting baseball facts!
