Description: This program was kept in a scrapbook. It is in very good shape, with the exception of the top of the back cover. It was glued to the scrapbook, and there is residue left on the program. The interior and front cover are very good with no major flaws. Please review the pictures as they are part of the item description. The eighth race of the 1953 Grand National season was held at the one mile dirt track in Langhorne, Pennsylvania. Qualifying was rained out, a random draw had Tim Flock lead the 35-car field to green in front of 15,000 fans. Buck Baker started 25th but worked his way to the lead in 83 laps. He would beat Lee Petty by 51 seconds for his second career Grand National victory. Finishing third was Fonty Flock, followed by Herschel Buchanan and Tim Flock. Please review the other racing items I have listed. I will combine shipping and provide a refund on shipping charges for anything over cost. Thanks!
