He is retiring after many years of honorable service during both peace and war. He has taken part in hundreds of parades, reviews and other state occasions but never in anything that could match the grandeur and happiness of the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. It is a fitting end to a distinguished career.On February 6, 1952, King George VI died following a prolonged illness and Princess Elizabeth immediately acceded to the throne, becoming Queen Elizabeth II and taking on all of the responsibilities which came with her new title."Series 77 Miniatures" was founded by Pat Bird and John Tassel to produce 77mm size miniatures (hence the company name); with their only fantasy line released around November 1979. John, however, decided to leave Series 77 to devote full time to the now world-famous Lassett Miniatures.
