Description: Back in the day, a child was given a bank at Christmas or Birthdays, to be filled up over the next year until it was SMASHED open, and the contents counted!! That's back in the good old days before banks had a rubber stopper placed in the bottom so they could be reused!! So as these banks were designed for ONE USE only, not many of them survived to reach 70 or 80 years of age!! This one has no manufacturer's markings, and it puzzles me because it appears to have been "preserved" for reuse OR perhaps it was just made the way it appears!! In any event, there are no major chips or cracks and minor surface wear!! Approx. 12" tall X 6" X 7" at the base!! NOTE: Quoted shipping charges are based on the farthest zone from me, so if you live in closer proximity to Greensboro, NC, the cost will go down!! I refund overcharges less a small packing & handling fee, so even if you pay the quoted charge you will not be overcharged!! BUT PLEASE WAIT FOR INVOICING to maximize your potential refund as eBay now charges a final value fee on the shipping too!! Please see my many other bank and antique listings and email me with any questions!!
