Description: This rare and highly sought-after 1950s Ideal Johnny/Johnnie Playpal Doll is the holy grail for collectors and doll enthusiasts. Comes with his original box and marked Ideal on the neck. His color is awesome, his rosy cheeks have no rubs at all. His eyes are clear and bright and open/close properly. He measures 24 inches and is dressed in a vintage romper that snaps between legs. His arms hold a vertical pose but not horizontally. No shoulder or hip splits and no chew marks anywhere. I have carefully guarded and stored him for many years and he has never been a play doll. His original shipping box has seen better days and has some water spotting as pictured. This guy is a real beauty. The only flaw he has is the ends of some eyelashes are missing as pictured. You have to look very close to tell. Due to medical issues I must part with the majority of my dolls which I will be listing soon and all have been carefully stored, protected and treasured.
