Description: This is an exceedingly rare COMPLETE set of 20 1949-1950 Quebec Citadelles oversized cards The set includes the original envelope that these cards were once sold inside. The original cost was 25 cents.v Nowadays, just getting the key card that we had graded into an SGC holders would cost you about $50 I've not checked the population reports, but I'd be surprised if this isn't the finest example ever to have been graded. If you've ever graded oversized cards, you should fully know that even when the corners look to be Near Mint, there's just too much total surface area for the graders not to find something to pick on. I can't find one thing to pick on with these cards, and to me, they nearly all spread to be gorgeous Near Mint cards, or at least VERY close to that level A couple things to know about this set- It was made in both blue backgrounds AND in sepia backgrounds. I believe that the blue ones are scarcer but these sepia ones are still seldom ever encountered. The KEY card is graded Jean Beliveau SGC 4 This was submitted to SGC by me, LONG AGO. Both holders show signs of their age with surface scratches. The holder 100% retains its integrity, but please do be aware that the physical holder has a relatively small crack on the back and could benefit from being reholdered. The included packaging looks to have had a rough three-quarters of a century of life, but it IS still present. The ungraded cards invariably look to be in similar condition if not even nicer than the one graded card. Your purchase price will include everything being securely packaged and shipped to you in a USPS medium-sized priority mail box.
