Dated 1948. Letter has strong content. Louie Williams discuss the loneliness of being an African American jazz musician in Post War gay Paris. In the letter William refers to his recording relationship with fellow musicians Rex Stewart and Ben Webster. He reveals that Stewart's song "Never Let it Be Said" was originally written for Wiliams to record. He describes his version of the song as having "cute bounce like Sy Olilvers, 'Yes Indeed'".
