The coin depicts the bust of King Farouk the first facing left with the words "Farouk the First King of Egypt" surrounding the bust of the obverse. Farouk the first was King of Egypt during the period April 1936 through July 1952. The coin shows the denomination, the date in AD and AH, and the words "Kingdom of Egypt" on top of the reverse. It is KM-358, weighs ~4.4 grams and measures ~23 mm in diameter. Coin of such low denomination are rare in such high grade since they were used extensively by the population. Please carefully review the photos presented as they are part and parcel of our description. Date: 1947 AD - 1366 AH. Mint: Egypt. Size and weight: This is a one millieme or 1/10 of a piastre. It weighs ~4.4 grams and is ~23 mm in diameter. References: It is KM #358. Condition: I would grade the coin as a choice very fine or better with all of its details being very well preserved, retaining a beautiful brown patina and having very nice eye appeal. The coin is nicely toned and has no observable problems. It has wear commensurate with its age and circulated state with a few minor surface marks and general soiling.
