Description: You are purchasing a very rare 1945-46 Caramelo Deportivo Cuban Baseball card. #100 Juan Montero Card - The set that this card comes from covers the 1945-46 Cuban Baseball winter league and had 100 cards in the set. The cards from the set were printed on very thin paper with the cards usually ending up pasted into a set album also issued by Caramelo Deportivo. The cards were black and white (with exception of the team flag cards) and approximately 1-7/8 " by 2-5/8" printed on very thin paper. The set includes many players who were major leaguers and stars of the US Negro Leagues and in many cases may be the only card ever issued for a specific player. Early Cuban issued baseball cards are hard to find in any condition! They are rare but can be found occasionally, with their scarcity far greater than most cards from sets issued in North America. This card appears to be in acceptable to good condition. I have tried to show condition in the pictures, but I do not pretend to be a card grader! :) This card may contain creasing, pen marks, staining, tears, pin marks, holes, rounded corners or other imperfections so view the ad pictures and judge the card condition for yourself!! - Pictures show card front and back.
