Description: Taken when the 31st was based at Foggia Main Airfield, Italy** see below Vintage WWII ORIGINAL1944 USAAF 31st Depot Supply Squadron North Africa and Italy photo. From airman Sgt Harbo Goodwin Thompson. He made a unknown amount of sets of these photos he gave to some of his fellow men of his Squadron along with index of all the photos as a Merry Christmas gift in 1944. I wrote on the back of the photo gently in pencil what was on his index. These were on uncut 10 x 10 inch photo paper which I cut apart with a paper cutter. Most photos are 2-1/2 to 3 1/2 or 2 3/4 x 4 1/2 inches so 6-7 photos on each 10 x 10 sheet. They were stored in the original WWII 1940's photo paper box so are in Fine/Mint condition . The Label on the Defender Photo Supply Co Chloride Photo Paper box says US Army Air.Corp. specification No. 75-157B, Expires Dec 45 I've just started to research him, He was an older airman being born in 1904 in North Dakota where his parent's were immigrants from Norway. Serving in WWII he got out, and relisted right back in, in Nov 1945, then out again and relisted in 1949 for the Korean War..
