Description: DESCRIPTION: Original vintage photograph. Identification of the photo is taken from notations on the back, captions in a photo album, or from similar images in the same collectionFrom a wonderful collection of photos from February 1944 - December 1944, of the Alfred Howard Wishnew and Charlotte Hirschson Wishnew family, who hailed from Brooklyn New York, or nearby. Albert and Charlotte ended up moving to Georgia during WWII since Alfred was in the army. Alfred was born in 1916, and his wife Charlotte was born in 1919, and she sadly died in 1947 at the young age of 28. Charlotte was pregnant during this time, and there are many photos taken of her. Alfred's parents were Harry Wishnew and Syd or Sid, Sadye Sugarman or Sugerman, Wishnew. Charlotte's parents were Julius Hirschson and Jenny Hirschson. The young couple lived at 3783 Georgia Ave. Hapeville, Georgia. There are many photos of them with friends, and some we believe to be of his Mother, and both of Charlotte's parents during a visit. There are a few snapshots from Alfred's sister Irma's wedding, to Captain Harold Alfred Broomfield in New York City at a local temple, and a few from Columbia, South Carolina as well. There are local photos of Atlanta Georgia, Mirror Lake, The Progressive Jewish Club where they swam with friends, and The College Park Golf Course. We were able to identify the following people by names that were written in the album, and some were id'd to the best of our ability: John and Agnes Aggie Storey. The wedding invitation of Irma and Harold Broomfield, Captain Harold Broomfield. Claire Sugerman, Bruce and Betsy Sugerman. Edith Thomas. Bill and Edna Johnson of Charlotte, North Carolina. Jack, Gert and Harvey Golden. Bob, Dot and Bobby Norris of Hapeville, Ga. Alfreds friends and army buddies, Cpl. Jim Duffy observer, Sgt. Bob Nash forecaster, Sgt. A.J. Lasnetske, Ralph Dennison and Charley Moore. Vaughn and Gladys McNeish. Marty and Francis Marqulies, and Eddie Freedman.. SIZE: Approximately 3 1/2" x 2 1/2". CONDITION: VERY GOOD. Take note that condition refers to the paper, see the scans provided to judge the quality of the image itself.
