It features three white mint lustrous silver coins, choice brilliant silver half dollar with superior fields and a bold full strike exhibiting full skirt lines, head and eagle's feathers, matching well struck choice brilliant silver quarter also showing superior fields, and brilliant high mint state silver dime with what appears to be split bands. The set is completed with very choice type 2 war-time silver nickel exhibiting very near full Monticello steps details, and the brilliantly shimmering gem cent. One super nice 1942 set of coinage which is tough to find in this condition AND with multiple images. This set consists of business strike (not proof) Lincoln wheat cent, Jefferson war-time silver nickel, Mercury silver dime, Washington silver quarter, and Walking Liberty silver half dollar. All five coins were produced that year at the U.S. Mint in Philadelphia and bear no mint mark. The dime, quarter and half dollar were struck in .900 fine silver, the nickel in .350 fineness. All coins exhibit terrific mint luster.
