Description: This is a "The Route To California" published by Currier & Ives. It appears to be celebrating the anniversary of "The Ball Company 1865-1942, 77 Years On Time". I believe this is a very rare item from 1942.With the Train Theme I'm guessing the Ball Rail Road Time Pieces?. I have owned this about 25 years, it was part of the estate of a house I bought.I have not been able to find anything on the web to help identify its history, or found others like it for sale.It measures approx 15" wide x 11" high. It is not matted, just looks to be. The wood frame has been on it since owning it. Frame is fair condition. Please look closely at pictures for condition and ask any questions, I dont know anything about Art, Prints, or Lithographs. The material/paper is heavy and has a cloth/weave type appearence, it is rigid so I dont think it is canvas. The picture with frame looks poor because of the reflection off the glass in the frame. Its from a smoke free home Buyer pays for actual shipping cost. I can send without frame if you choose.
