Camp Callan drill sergeants may be using that type of swing language today during World War 2. Lieutenant Colonel Manly B. Gibson, left, has hooked up an electric metronome to click out steady one-two marching rhythm. Camp Callan was a United States Army anti-aircraft artillery replacement training center that was operational during World War II. It was located on the southern west coast of the United States, north of San Diego at La Jolla, California. Photo is Dated: September 9, 1941. THIS IS AN AUTHENTIC PHOTO, NOT A COPY OR SCANS.
