1940s vintage Amethyst, 22ct gold and sterling silver modernist ring. Size O 1/2

Description: I'm selling my rather amazing collection of retro, modernist and brutalist rings, necklaces and bracelets, all in time for Christmas. These have come from all over the world including the USA, Mexico, Denmark, Germany and Australia. And UK obviously!!Where possible I've researched the maker and date, but often with artisan handmade items that isn't always easy/possible.I'm not a gemologist, but have tested any gemstones as far as I can and also check the provenance from when I bought them.The silver is hallmarked and/or tested.This ring is striking - and totally hand made. It is made from solid, chunky silver with a slim block of 22ct gold, and an envelope of 22ct gold which is holding the stone.The stone is a deep purple Amethyst cabochon.It is hallmarked 22k 925 10.67It has been taken to a jewellers and tested. All good including the quaility of the Amethyst.Their estimate was that it is 1940s.It cost over £400 around 30 years ago.It weighs 8.32g and is a size O 1/2 Postage and packing. The safest way to send any jewellery is enclosed in a box, otherwise delicate items can easily be crushed.So in the P&P I've allowed for a box and safe packaging.PLEASE don't compromise your beautiful jewellery by having it packed in a Jiffy bag.
