1940s Swallow Brooch Figural Bird Pin Midnight Blue Enamel Rhinestone Gold Metal

Description: This charming 20th century Bird Brooch hails from the 1940's era. It’s made of pot metal, with gold tone plating. It is accented with vibrant enamel in deep midnight blue and red umber. The sparkling, handset rhinestones add undeniable flair as does a glittering green eye! Depicted is a Swallow, or perhaps a Gull, in flight with his little feet tucked back along his body. The plating and enamel are in exceptional shape with just a trace of enamel loss to one wing. Please note that although the plate looks like Russian gold in the photos, it is actually a bit less orangey and more a traditional yellow gold in person. All rhinestones are present and shiny. The rollover clasp is in good order. I have not cleaned or touched it up in any way. It measures approximately 2.25" Tall x 1.50" Across.
