1939 #12 Duke vs Georgia Tech - Full, Unused Ticket from Grant Field

Description: Vintage full, unused 1939 ticket for the game between the #12 Duke Blue Devils and the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets played on 11/4/1939 at Grant Field in Atlanta, GA. Duke defeated the Yellow Jackets 7-6 in front of a crowd of 30,000. GT was coached by the legendary William Alexander in his 20th season at Tech. The 1939 team finished 8-2, #16 in the final AP poll, and were the co-SEC Champions and won the Orange Bowl over Missouri 21-7. Duke was coached by Wallace Wade in his 9th season. They would go 8-1 with their only loss against Pitt. They would win the Southern Conference and finish #8 in the final AP poll. This ticket is in EX condition with minor wear.
