On Sale is a 1937 first edition, first reprint, of * A Beginner in Sail *, by J. A. Williamson, with a frontispiece plus 7 other b&w illustrations by R. J. Puttick, published by Edward Arnold & Co., London, [first published 1933] this one states to the Copyright page: "First Published 1933 - Reprinted 1937", with no other editions or impressions listed, size approximately 7-1/2 inches x 5 inches, with 160 pages. The pale-brown cloth-covered hardcover with dark-brown spine title, is lightly rubbed and bumped at the edges mainly the extremities with light wear on the bottom spine-end, sound and not split along the spine, has a slight lean to the spine, variably faded and marked, otherwise reasonably tidy (see photo's 1 & 3). Inside is complete, endpapers sound and not split, no writing or graffiti and no previous owner's name, hinges sound with boards well attached, binding a little stretched in a couple of places with all pages well attached, pages not torn and corners not turned, pale age-toning to the front endpaper else not tanned, some scattered light foxing to a few outer pages and to the page edges, not heavily read, otherwise generally clean and tidy.
