Description: This is a 1937 BSA National Jamboree pocket patch. (reproduction) It is a copy of an original and is sewn on a felt background. While the first BSA National Jamboree was scheduled for 1935, it was cancelled due to a polio outbreak that year. The first actual Jamboree was held in 1937 and the participants camped around the Washington Memorial. The 100th Anniversary of the Boy Scouts of America was 2010. There has been a tremendous increase in the demand for older BSA National Jamboree items. The value will also increase as the older items get more scarce every year. If you are interested in these National Jamboree items from back in the day, get them while you can. See Photos. A nice addition to any BSA collection. I plan to list other BSA items soon in my eBay store, so take a look often if you are interested in National Jamboree items. See my other auctions for military parachute wings and other elite unit memorabilia. Winning Buyer pays $5.00 postage and handling. Insurance, if desired, is extra. Email me if you have any questions. Payment in U.S. Dollars by PayPal (PREFERRED for immediate shipment). AIRBORNE! With the recent huge increase in U.S. postal rates and requirement for delivery confirmation tracking, we have had to increase the shipping costs for both domestic and overseas mailings. Additionally the cost of International mail has more than doubled so we may soon have to cease mailing items outside the U.S. Thank you for understanding.
