This design, without a security thread, and signed by this Chief Cashier of the Bank of England, was issued between 1934 and 1939. It was signed by Major Kenneth Oswald Peppiatt, made Knight Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire for his service in World War I. Peppiatt was Chief Cashier of the Bank of England from 1934 to 1949 and became an Executive Director of the Bank of England when he stepped down as Chief Cashier. He died in 1983 Size: 151 x 84 Millimeters or 5.94 x 3.31 Inches. Oversize holder necessary and INCLUDED. "Standard Catalog of World Paper Money" (General Issues 1368-1960) by Albert Pick. #363c.
