Description: This listing is for a rare 1930's era gooseneck desk lamp purchased from the estate of the widow of a doctor that studied at Penn State. She said that the lamp was used in his dorm room when he was studying for his degree. The lamp is made of black painted metal with white striping around the lamp shape and the base. It has a gooseneck feature that allows targeted lighting and a push button in the center of the base for turning it on and off. Please note. The lamp is not working and needs to be re-wired which looks like a slightly advanced job. The lamp measures 4 1/2" across the base. The gooseneck is 13" long and the shade is 4" long. Condition: Poor. It is not working---see above in description. There is a lot of rust and discoloration on the base and wear on the paint overall.
