Our research suggests that this item made its way to Virginia from Louisburg, Kansas --- home of the Louisburg High School Wildcats! We found no other high school or college that currently used this color combination; if you know otherwise, please let us know. The number on the left sleeve suggests that it likely belonged to a baskeball, football or baseball player. Likely a MEDIUM or LARGE, but see actual measurements. Manufactured by Fab-Knit. Wool body with elastic cuffs and metal snaps. Has a number "11" attached to the left sleeve. Three male snaps are located atop each sleeve, possibly to attach a cape or to attach this unit inside a jacket as a liner. Metal snap buttons on front. Elasticized cuffs and waistband. No lining. Purple and white stripes on collar and cuffs. We discovered this item among the contents of an estate in eastern Virginia. A great piece of vintage school memorabilia for use as a movie prop on a TV or film set! CONDITION DETAILS: GOOD to VERY GOOD CONDITION. Two holes on inside of neck cuff [see photo]. Surface corrosion on one brass snap on right shoulder [see photo]. Elastic is somewhat relaxed due to age. White color on elastic cuff bands has turned yellow.
