Description: * You are bidding on a type "New" Gillette open comb 3-piece razor with a fat handle. Gillette manufactured the "New" type razors circa 1930 - 1932 and it came in both the long comb and short comb varieties. It featured a long slit on the blade guard in place of the old stabilizer pins. In addition, the top cap has ears on the corners - there is no date code or serial number. * This 90 year old razor is clean and appears to be fully functional. I consider it to be in good used condition with age appropriate plating wear after nine decades of use - it is one of the "short comb" versions. I have been dabbling with vintage razors for about 10 years now and have acquired a number of the "New" razors over time, mostly long combs. As best I remember this is only the third short comb "New" I have found. Seems they may be a bit rare. * In addition to the razor I am including a tuck of five new Vidyut Super-Max Platinum double-edge razor blades. * Please review all of the photos carefully to ascertain the details and condition of this item. Bear in mind these photos are highly magnified and may show minor imperfections that are not noticeable to the naked eye. * Should you have any questions or concerns, please contact me before placing a bid. * Good luck with your bid and thank you for looking. * Inventory #4055.
