Starting in 1982 and averaging one set per year for 4 years, Big League Collectibles, Inc., issued numbered, limited edition card sets in quantities ranging from 5,000 to 10,000 sets. Featuring full-color pictures made from original hand-painted photographs, the sets depicted greats, near-greats and journeymen players. These are not reprints but originals issued in 1985. The card offered is from BLC's America's National Pastime 1930 to 1939 set which was styled after the classic T206 and 1951-1952 Bowman baseball card sets. It is the same size as the Bowman cards. Just 5,000 of each card was produced.
