Description: This listing is for a pair of 18" lock ring laced wire wheels with lock rings. The measure 19-9/16" in overall outside diameter and 18" in diameter where the inside of the tire meets the outside of the outer rim. I believe they are for a later 1920s or early 1930s Auburn automobile. They measure 2-3/4" wide between the front of the rear bead and the inside or rear of the lock ring. They feature dental drive on the back side using 32 driving notches. One wheel is complete while the other wheel is missing a couple of spokes. I suspect the red paint you see on these wheels is the original paint because there is no evidence of any other color of paint anywhere. I found these wheels in Wyoming which is one of the driest parts of the world. There is some minor rust pitting in the area between the beads. There is some very light rust pitting on these wheels and lock rings. They will clean up very well with sand blasting before primering and painting. I hope to add more information and more photos soon. Thanks a lot, Bob Woodburn 4O6-788-I847 in Bozeman Montana USA
