He received his first acting experience with Karl Valentin in Munich and with the cabaret of comedians in Berlin. He had his first major role in 1926 at the Küchlin Theater in Basel. Theater tours followed. He formed a successful duo on stage with Fredy Scheim. In 1941 he opened his Rudolf Bernhard Theater in Zurich, which by 1962 should have had almost 7,000 performances. The most famous artists in Switzerland such as Emil Hegetschweiler, Schaggi Streuli, Fredy Scheim, Alfred Rasser, Leopold Biberti, Heinrich Gretler, Walter Roderer, Zarli Carigiet and Peter W. Staub performed. Maria Schell made her debut there, Hans Moser and Heinz Rühmann played guest roles. He played his first film role in 1935 in Ohä lätz! De Bünzli is getting energetic! together with his stage partner Fredy Scheim. In his second film What's going on in my harem? he also wrote the script. Filming ended in 1937, but the film never made its way into theaters until 1983. Between 1939 and 1942 he was seen regularly in Swiss dialect films. For example, in 1942 Eduard Probst produced the feature film Ski Holidays [1].Leopold Lindtberg and Franz Schnyder also use Bernhard in their films. Again with Fredy Scheim he played some scenes in the film Extrazug - Chum lueg d'Heimet a !, which mainly consisted of documentary film material. In the film De Winzig simulated he was a screenwriter, leading actor and director. [2] [3]It was not until 1950 that Bernhard returned to film at irregular intervals. In addition to the German Heimatfilm, he was also seen in the German version of S'Waisechind vo Engelberg. For 30 years, Rudolf Bernhard was one of the most popular comedians in German-speaking Switzerland. He found his final resting place in the Sihlfeld cemetery. Quick note on grading: The Grade (Excellent to Poor, I don't give Mint) refers to the WEAR of the record. Any other defects are stated separately When I listen to a record, I may also give it an aural grade (again E to P), and make a SUBJECTIVE judgment of the pressing quality for hiss and surface noise."EXCEPTIONALLY QUIET" is close to noiseless, like a vinyl pressing."VERY QUIET" is an above average quiet record for a given pressing."Quiet" is a record that is a great example with some noise. These judgments are SUBJECTIVE and will depend one the styli, phonograph etc. you use on your own equipment. Multiple item shipping: I am happy to combine items for shipment in one parcel.
