Description: This plat map is from a 1928 Plat Book of Kalamazoo County Michigan published by The Thrift Press Map Makers Rockford Illinois and Glen C. Wheaton Civil Engineer and Surveyor Kalamazoo Michigan. This is a very nice color map that contains interesting information including the property owners names and acreage, schools, cemeteries, and different items of interest. There are 23 different maps in this book covering the city. These two maps are back to back on a single page measuring 15" x 17¾". I will do my best to describe the area that each map covers. One map covers an area bordered by Lovell St to the north, Westnedge to the east, Howard St to the south, and to the west and the other covers an area bordered by Lovell St to the north, Cottage to the east, Reed St to the south, and Westnedge to the west. The photo showing the legend and year of publication is from a different page and is not Included in this auction but is shown for your verification purposes. This is an original 96 year old map, not a copy or reprint. I have been selling antique and vintage maps on ebay for 25 years.
