Description: For sale is a small milk pitcher/creamer, manufactured by Iroquois China in Syracuse, NY in 1928. The pitcher commemorates the Harry M. Stevens Inc. company, which was the first company ever to cater ballpark foods and refreshments specifically to sports fans. Harry Stevens is also credited for inventing the modern-day baseball scorecard. CONDITION: The pitcher is in great condition with no major damage or repairs to the primary body of the pitcher. Normal mold marks are visible, as is some residue on the unglazed portion of the base, visible in photos 5 and 6. The glaze is pristine. There is a small area of blue under the glaze, just under the lip of the spout, which is not visible when on display, but I wanted to point it out nonetheless (see photo #7). Please see all photos and message me if you have any questions or would like additional photos. MEASUREMENTS / WEIGHT: The pitcher stands 4 3/4" to the spout and 5 1/4" to the top of the handle. It measures approximately 3 1/2" wide at its widest point and 5" long/deep (spout to handle). The pitcher weighs 1 lb. MARKINGS: The base is marked with Iroquois China's backstamp and impressed with what appears to be with 425 or 426. The 5 or 6 is a postscript and smaller than the numbers 4 and 2. YEAR: The base is marked N-1 in block print, indicating this pitcher was manufactured in January (or the 1st quarter) of 1928. SHIPPING: Buyer is responsible for USPS Priority Mail, UPSP Ground Advantage, or UPS Ground shipping costs. Insurance is automatically included. If you purchase multiple items from my eBay store, please wait to pay the invoice direct from me revised to reflect combined shipping.
