It features an easy lift dump mechanism, rubber tires on steel rim wheels, and an attractive maroon colored body, accented with black fenders and chassis.You will find a reference to this truck on page 291 in the "Collectors Guide to American Transportation Toys" Condition: This toy is 100% complete, noting that the unpainted tailgate is a Steelcraft original part, but not from this truck. The tailgate is the correct size and fits perfectly as measured by height, width, design and hinges. However, this tailgate has a side-clamp style closure design. To modify it so that it closes tight, those side-clamps would be removed, and a slit cut on both sides to fit on the support hooks protruding from the back of the service body walls. Fairly simple metal work. Aside from the tailgate, the entire truck is 100% original.
