Description: RARE DUST JACKET, ALTHOUGH IT HAS WEAR - SEE LISTING PHOTOS. The front flap has become detached, there is wear at the crease of the back flap and it is partially detached. There are chips and chunks missing along the edges and the previous owner affixed tape on the back of the jacket to repair the crease where the front and rear covers meet the dust jacket spine. Dust jackets are rare for this book - they apparently don't age very well and have been discarded. The dust jacket is now handsomely preserved in a mylar jacket. The book otherwise is in VERY GOOD CONDITION. There is some light age-toning/soiling of white spaces on the front and rear boards, the red spine titling is lightly rubbed but legible. A previous owner put a newspaper review of the book behind the front board and it stained the first free endpaper. It will be stored in a plastic sleeve. A previous owner bookplate is also affixed behind the front board. 145 clean and solidly bound pages, no interior marks. This is the First Edition after a limited printing of 160 copies. Here is a brief over of the play provided by Wikipedia: "Him is a three-act play written by poet E.E. Cummings. The play was first published in November 1927 and premiered in New York during the spring of 1928. Him is sometimes called a precursor to Theatre of the Absurd but has also been described as being surrealistic and in the German expressionist tradition. It is heavily influenced by Freudian psychology as well as popular culture of the 1920s." B136
