Up for sale is a very nice antique lot of TWO (2) Bound Volumes of NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC MAGAZINE! These are Volume 47 & 48 which were published from January through December, 1926. These two books have 1,496 pages of the very interesting articles covering all types of current events of 1926 and peoples of the world of 1926! In addition, these issues have numerous exquisite real photos that this magazine was famous for! You could spend months reading these interesting books! There are TWO very interesting, detailed articles on Aviation in 1926. One is a 61-page article titled: ON THE TRAIL OF AIR MAIL. The other is a 31-page article titled: THE FIRST FLIGHT TO THE NORTH POLE. Both articles have many outstanding photos of airplanes and the men that flew them in 1926. See my photos of the CONTENTS PAGES for more details. I acquired these books from a private collection. They were gently handled and treasured down through the years. CONDITION: These books are complete and intact, in very good condition as evidenced by the photos. The covers are in very good condition with light wear. The inside covers and endpapers are decorated in a very nice marble pattern. The inside covers are in very good-plus condition, with no cracking or separation present the hinges (the hinges were reinforced by the book binder), both boards are firmly attached. There are no bookplates, markings or writing on the inside covers or end papers. The pages are in very good to excellent condition, very nice. The pages are crisp, all pages are tight to the binding. The pages have a nice marble pattern on all edges. I did not see any writing in these books. The spines are in very good condition with very light wear; the lettering is easily read.
