Description: Antic Hay is a comic novel which takes place in London and depicts the self-absorbent culture of the elite in the turbulent times following the end of World War One. This is the FIRST PRINTING of this novel, published by Chatto & Windus in 1923. Overall in VERY GOOD CONDITION, although it lacks the dust jacket. The orange cloth boards with light soiling, slightly darkened from exposure, and the paste-on title shows similar soiling/darkening over the title. Boards with light edge, light bumping of the corners, and are very slightly bowed to the outside - see listing photo of top page edges. Tan top stain to match the boards, rough cut fore and bottom edges. There is a title paste-on at the end of the book, and a UK book store stamp, in Birmingham, on bottom of back board. No interior marks in 328 clean and solidly bound pages. B138
