From the Preface: The object of these laboratory and field directions is to furnish guidance for the observations that can be made with profit in connection with the writer’s “Practical Zoology.” That such guidance is necessary is obvious to every ne who has attempted to teach zoology or to study animals. It prevents the waste of much valuable time and directs pupils into proper methods of attacking problems. DESCRIPTION: hardcover CONDITION: This hard-cover book is in good condition. The khaki green cloth hardcover is lightly soiled and rubbed d with light wear at the edges and spine ends. There is an inked name and address at the top of the front pastedown. The section on the lab fork for the grasshopper has some penciled notations and markings on four or five pages. There are some ink notations and ink drops on the section on the fresh-water mussel or clam. The rest of the interior is goodt with no other marks, tears or odor. The paper is somewhat toned with age. The hinges are very good. The binding is cracked at page 34, but is not shaken—holding well and with no loose or missing pages.
