Description: Extremely rare original Cuban baseball team photo (5x7) from 1922-1923 featuring the Marianao Tigers.The photo features some very early Cuban baseball legends and/or early Negro League superstars such as Augustin Parpetti, Vicente Rodriguez, Pelayo Chacon, Jose Maria Fernandez, Recurvon Teran, Juanelo Mirabal or Manuel Cueto. Augustin Parpetti is considered as one of the best first base players in baseball history and is enshrined in Cuban Baseball Hall of Fame. From 1905 to 1923, Parpetti not only played in Cuba but also spent 8 seasons in the Negro Leagues playing with the best of the time with legendary teams such as the Bacharach Giants, the Brooklyn Royal Giants, the Kansas City Monarchs or the Cuban Stars West. Any original collectibles featuring Parpetti are extremely hard to find. Vicente Rodriguez was one of the best catcher in professional baseball during 1910’s. He played 11 seasons in the Negro Leagues for legendary teams such as the Detroit Stars, the Kansas City Monarchs and the Cuban Stars West. Again, original collectibles featuring Vicente Rodriguez are extremely rare. On the photo appears a young Jose Maria Fernandez, one of the all-time greatest catcher. Jose Maria Fernandez played no less than 28 seasons in the Negro Leagues! Pelayo Chacon is also considered to be one of the greatest shortstop of the era and played 21 seasons in the Negro Leagues.
