Description: Vintage Rookwood Pottery Tile 6”x6”. Brown white and blue Trivet Faience Circa 1910-1930. Weighs almost 2 pounds. Etched on back says “Rookwood Faience 1738Y.” 1738Y is style number. Thickness is 3/4”. Faience pieces used the “Y” stamp. The patterns were stamped with the number 1100 on, so this is an early pattern. The term “Faience” indicates ceramic material of glazed terracotta. Has very minor chips on corners. No signed of mortar, so never used.
