Photo by Schutz ~ 1926 ~ This historic 8 x 10 photo was created by the studio of Washington D.C. photographer Fred Schutz. This is one of a number of photographs I'm listing that were taken in the 1920s in Downtown Washington D.C. east of the White House lawn and west of the National Portrait Gallery in the shopping district known as Penn Quarter. This was the neighborhood where many famous photographers kept their studios including Bachrach and Schutz. Please look for the other concurrent auctions. This image shows the south side of F Street between 13th and 14th streets. The National Press Building is under construction. A cover sheet mentions businesses that will either occupy the new building or already exist further down the block - like the Loew's Palace Theater. Photo Measures Approx 8 x 10 Inches.
