Description: Lamination, and who knows what other errors on both sides... This is one massive error. Where you see the layering at the bottom of the obverse, yeah, you can see layers of metal yet all that still has details from the die. I cannot find a way to replicate this sort of effect without obliterating the detail from any portion of this area. Then to the right of lincoln, it doesnt appear to be a gouge or scratched out area, its lacking marks that would support this. Some of the things wrong with the coin are bound to be environmental like maybe the flattened part of the rim, or was it rimstruck. Please forgive me for putting a price commensurate with the range of prices others are putting on their error coins where you can barely even tell if there is an error at all... Whereas on this coin, how can you not see how crazy all this is. Look at the photos, decide what its worth to you, make offer. This I obtained from one of the biggest collectors of errors I know. Under microscope the third digit appears to be a 2.
