Description: Vintage late 1920s or early 1930's Bill Davis Lamp Letter Referencing Laurel & Hardy and MAE WEST Table Lamp: Bill Davis, Inc. was a manufacturer of what's become very scarce celebrity-themed table lamps in the late 1920's and early 1930's. This authentic letter on Bill Davis, Inc. letterhead features: *reference to a Stan Laurel lamp within the content of the typed letter*illustration of the company's Mae West table lamp*signature of Bill Davis, president of the company*address of the Bill Davis company in Los Angeles*names of 15 celebrities Bill Davis, Inc. represented (including Charlie Chaplin, Greta Garbo, and Jean Harlow) To protect the value of this letter (and so that the winning bidder has something precious that hasn't been exposed online for harvesters to take advantage of), posted images feature the letter with sections blocked by small pieces of white paper which were carefully placed over the letter for photographing purposes. If you happen to be one of the few to own an original Bill Davis celebrity table lamp, this is a wonderful companion piece to provide provenance. While the Bill Davis lamps are extremely rare, vintage correspondence on company letter head (and picturing the Mae West lamp) is likely nearly extinct. Letter measures 8.5 x 11". Paper has turned color and right side has binder holes. See posted images. Ships from a smoke-free, pet-free environment. Ships Priority Mail with full insurance. Due to the nature of this item (and because it's easy for an unethical buyer to scan the letter or make a color photo copy and then request to return it for a refund), this auction is being offered with a no return policy. Thanks for understanding.
