Schirmer Inc., New York, Lyrics by Rida Johnson Young (1875-1926), Music by Sigmund Romberg (1887-1951), from the Broadway musical Maytime (which ran from 1917 to 1918 and was the second longest-running book musical in the 1910's, establishing Romberg as one of the leading creators of operettas). The storyline in Maytime, set in New York City, is told in episodes covering the period from 1840 into the 20th century, in which wealthy young Ottillie is in love with Dick, but they are kept apart by family and circumstance. Years later their descendants marry. There is one score contained, 6 pages - cover illustration depicting young woman in a bonnet and dress holding a bouquet of flowers, back cover advertises Rudolf Friml operettas sold by the publisher, very good condition - slight age-tanning, corners slightly bumped, very tiny red checkmark upper left corner of front cover, otherwise no marks, no ink, no pencil, no rips, no folds or creases, no stains.
