Description: 1916S buffalo 5C with unique lamination error obverse, DD reverse + bonus coin. This is truly one-of-a-kind! Unique lamination error on the obverse and double die on the reverse. In 1916, the fourth year of the buffalo nickel 25-year run (1913-1938), San Francisco (S) minted the fewest number of coins compared to Philadelphia (no mark) and Denver (D), making the 1916S the most rare of the three mintages. The lamination cracks on the Indian's face symbolically tell their own story of Native American history... Also included and YOURS FREE, for comparison purposes, is a very fine (VF), full horn 1916P as a bonus coin. Compare the dates on both coins. The top of the 1916-P is relatively flush or squared with the figure's neck, whereas the mint error on the 1916S has skewed the date several degrees down to the left, and enlarged the 6 disproportionate to the rest of the date. Many mint errors, although recognizable, are not very distinctive from each other. It would be safe to say there is no other coin in the world like this one! MAKE ME AN OFFER!
