Description: This is an original antique handwritten letter from on the letterhead of the King Edward VII Soldiers’ Home in Maymyo, Burmah (Burma). This is a three page letter dated August 16, 1913. The letterhead is printed with the name “Frank T. Young, Secretary” and is signed “Frank” so I presume this is from Frank T. Young, Secretary of the home for British soldiers in what is today the town Pyin Oo Lwin in the Mandalay region of Myanmar. This letter is addressed “Dear Old Chas” and looks to be something written to an old army buddy on the occasion of his birthday. The letter mentions a few others who might have served with them in the military including H.C. Harte and C.L. Davenport. This is the fully complete three page letter only without envelope.
